Sian Lazuro is a former cop on the run. Three years ago she was a key witness in a murder investigation for a local crime boss. Hunted is action packed!  Sian has been trying to stay below the radar after jumping ship from the Witness Protection program.  Someone is out to get it's only her witts and sixth-sense that's keeping her alive. 

Diego Leonides is the last of his bloodline.  As a member of the Guardian League he's sworn to protect innocent humans and destroy Outcasts.  But he has taken a vow of celibacy to avoid the political trappings of finding a mate. 

Fate however has other plans and Sian and Diego find themselves bound to each other.  Out of honor, Diego must now introduce Sian to his world and try and get her to believe that Vampires do exist. 

I really enjoyed Hunted.  I didn't want to put it down!  Elias has successfully managed to create a new spin on the Vampire story, blending her new world into modern day times.   The storyline was a little slow in some spots, but the attraction between Sian and Diego and the action easily made up for the short distractions.  The Guardian League members offer up dynamic characters that will provide lot's of juicy material for Books 2 and 3.  There is the scary and aloof Eli - the leader of the Guardian League and the immortal who forced Sian and Diego together,  and the sexy and single Gareth Ambrocio - leader of the Arachnid Clan of New Orleans.
